Internships
Park Planet’s greatest asset is, truly, its people. I’m grateful to work with supportive colleagues who listen with intent. From asking a question about a new playground layout to sharing an idea in a project meeting, I’ve felt supported and respected from early on in my career.
Maya R. Project Coordinator
As my first role after college, Park Planet has been a great place to grow. Each project brings new site challenges and a chance to learn design, DSA shade, and how a project moves from concept to install. The team is supportive and collaborative — a place I’m proud to build a career.
Luis T. Design Specialist
I enjoy turning complex sites into practical, buildable outdoor spaces. The variety is genuine — school campuses, city parks, inclusive playgrounds, and DSA shade — each with new constraints and something to learn. Collaborating with great teams and seeing ideas move from drawings to kids playing makes the work rewarding.
Elena K. Field Supervisor
We post roles here as they open. We are often looking for people who want to help schools and cities create better outdoor spaces — in design, project coordination, field installation, and territory sales.
If you do not see a live listing that matches, introduce yourself anyway. We keep a file of people we would like to meet when the next seat opens.
Introduce yourselfInternships at Park Planet are built around real project work: site visits, playground and shade layouts, DSA coordination, and the details that turn a drawing into a place kids actually use.
We host students and early-career teammates in design, project coordination, and field operations when the calendar allows. Reach out in winter or early spring if you are aiming for summer.

We serve communities across California, Arizona, and Iowa. Many roles mix time in the field on school and park sites with office and remote collaboration.
It helps, but it is not required for every role. We look for people who communicate clearly, care about public outdoor spaces, and want to learn DSA, accessibility, and how playgrounds and shade get built.
Yes. We host internships in design, project coordination, and field operations when the project calendar allows. Reach out in winter or early spring if you are looking toward summer.
A typical process is an introductory conversation, a conversation with the hiring manager, and sometimes a short work sample or site visit. We try to be clear about timeline and next steps at each stage.
